A self-proclaimed "North Austin Hillbilly" Glen Collins is the epitome of what a country singer/songwriter should be.
With smooth flowing lyrics and powerful vocal stylings, this native Austinite has always been a big country music fan. From an early age Glen has been fascinated with songs, lyrics, arrangements and simply how a quality country song is produced.
Glen's first CD of original songs quickly became a favorite with local fans and one of the songs (Old School) caught the eyes and ears of the radio personalities at KVET radio in Austin, where is was played on a regular basis.
His well written country songs have reached many country music fans and made him a household name locally. Glen's biggest songwriting influences are Billy Joe Shaver, Townes Van Zandt, Rodney Crowell, Harlan Howard & Hank Cochran.
Today, Glen Collins & The Alibis make their mark on the country music scene with "pure country lyrics and solid country melodies. Visit a show and you too will be saying,
"Keepin' it COUNTRY and keepin' it REAL!"
Glen was also inducted to the Texas Music Hall of Fame - Gatesville, in 2014.
